 The Oscars this year were somewhat by the numbers as the last few years have gone where it feel is there has been question of the integrity of the award show this last years seems the most unremarkable since Ive been noticing.

Christopher Nolan won after 5 previous nominations for both best picture and best director and in addition Wes Anderson won his first for best short film after 7 nominations for his features.

the only upset being the success of Emma stone for best actress where she won for poor things over the fan favorite up comer lily Gladstone nominated for killer of the flower moon. stone Hollywood royalty at this point seemed retrospectively the safer choice for the academy this her second Oscar shes more beloved by the relatively unknown Gladstone
